I'm sure the news has gotten around by now, but a few days ago a
strange Final Fantasy VII domain was registered called
FinalFantasyViiPC. Who is the owner of this said "strange domain?" Well
none other than Square Enix!

So now, what does this mean? Well although nothing official has been announced, Final Fantasy VII will be coming to the PC very soon, it'll have improved features, 36 achievements, and some kind of online community aspect (which leads many to believe this may be a steam release). A price tag of $9.99 has also been spotted.
Although that remake of Final Fantasy VII most of us have been waiting for is yet to be seen, at least a rerelease shows that Square is still interested in the project. Just a few days ago they did officially state that they WOULD remake FF7, but only if they can release a game that is FF7 quality again. Maybe that "FF7 quality" game will end up being FF7 itsself!
