Ground of Aces is an upcoming WW2 base building game with an art style that takes inspiration from Franco-Belgian comics.
The developers over at Blindflug Studios have told me that the game is more focused on managing everyday life on an air base rather than forming military strategies, but for more about the game, here is the overview which was provided to us:
About:
Take command of a remote military air base during World War II. Build your own airfield, manage iconic aircraft and oversee your crew’s well-being. Prepare them against air raids and send your pilots on dangerous missions. Survive and help your nation win the war!
Ground of Aces is inspired by free form base builder games like Rimworld and Going Medieval and history strategy games like Hearts of Iron IV. The art style will pay homage to the “ligne claire” style of Franco-Belgian comics like Biggles and Buck Danny.
Ground of Aces is set to release this year, and the game has received an updated demo right in time for Steam Fest! You can check it out here.
