Yoru ga Kuru! -Square of the Moon- Remastered Launches Today on Steam

Alicesoft's 2001 classic Visual Novel RPG Yoru ga Kuru launches today on Steam as Yoru ga Kuru! -Square of the Moon- Remastered.

The game is an updated version of the original Japanese exclusive release, and has been translated into English for the first time.

While the original version was rated 18+ with the option to disable adult material, the English Steam version has such content removed (a free patch is available via the publisher's website to restore cut content). The updated release also features a "Modern Mode" which contains streamlined gameplay mechanics, making the classic dungeon crawling sections a bit easier.

You can check the game out once it goes live on the Steam Store.

Overview:

Story:

A bewitching blue moon, the True Moon, has risen in the sky... and beneath it lies the city of Otsuna. Ryou Hamura is living an average life in Otsuna when one night, he's attacked by dark forces. He's saved just in time by Izumi Kagura, a girl with piercing red eyes who happens to attend his school, Oumidai Academy.

Izumi convinces him to work alongside her to defeat the Light Hunters, supernatural beings causing mayhem in the city. As a new member of Izumi's Astronomy Club, a ragtag group of Oumidai Academy students with superhuman abilities, Ryou begins to unlock his hidden strength and grow closer to his new allies.

However, the Light Hunters have their own plan in store, and an azure night of eternal despair draws ever closer. Unravel the mysteries lurking in Otsuna's shadows to bring the night to an end!
