Leak Reveals Resident Evil Requiem Details and Discusses Future of the Series

Well known leaker Dust Golem has recently shared additional details regarding the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem and future entries in the series.

According to the leaks, Resident Evil Requiem is intended to be the end of the current story arc, and future Resident Evil titles may be set at different points in time. This is due to how long development takes between each title, resulting in games that take place many years after the previous release. The next title is apparently currently set for release in 2029 - 2030, and will be a "mainline" entry; it is not a spin-off or side game.

Dust Golem also claims that a Resident Evil 0 remake is in the works, and that it has seen a development reboot at an unspecified point in time, delaying its original intended release date. Both it and Requiem were originally scheduled to release sooner, but were delayed for much needed additional work. Previously the leaker reported that Resident Evil 9 was intended to be an open-world multiplayer title, before being revamped into the game we see today.

As for Resident Evil Requiem information itself, Dust Golem revealed some key story and general information that many may consider a spoiler. One particular plot point apparently happens early on, but isn't something Capcom wants the public to know at this time. (Assuming the leaks do in fact prove to be true.)

That being said, here are links to the original Social Media Threads for those interested in learning more.
