Nintendo Asks for Feedback on Game-Key Cards, Digital Copies, and Physical Releases

The Nintendo Switch 2's Game-Key Cards have been a controversial topic since the announcement, and Nintendo may finally be doing something about it.

With more and more games being Key Card only, rather than having true physical copies, fans continue to speak out about their disappointment. Many third party developers are opting for the Key Card option as their games would not require the full 64 GB of a standard Switch 2 physical Game Card, and even some of the larger titles are still going the Game-Key Card route simply because it is cheaper to produce.

Well after non-stop backlash, Nintendo has released an official survey which questions the public about how they really feel.

The survey itself is roughly ten minutes long, and asks users to check what game consoles they own, how many games they buy a year, how many games they buy for others, and how many Switch and Switch 2 consoles you own. It then asks how likely you are to purchase true physical games, digital copies, digital codes in stores, and how often you buy Game-Key Cards. Choosing the option that states you would never purchase one of these games allows you to enter further feedback via a write in comment form. This is where fans can truly let Nintendo know how they feel, and join the sea of countless other upset fans.

Will anything come of this survey? Who knows. But Nintendo is now open for such feedback, and they have used public feedback in the past to make revisions to their current policies. The fact that they are open to this at all is a good sign for fans, but only if they take the time to fill out the survey.

You can take the survey here, or you can also check your own e-mail to see if you received a request.
