Slightly Mad Studios and publisher Bandai Namco have removed Project CARS 3 from all Store Fronts; servers set to close on  February 24th, 2026 with no plans of bringing the series back.

Project CARS 3 was the final entry in the Project CARS series, and the only version of the game that could still be purchased and download following the previous title's removal three years ago due to licensing issues.

Those who have purchased copies of Project CARS 3 will still be able to play the game and re-download it in the future, however sales have come to a complete stop making it impossible for new players to obtain the game.

Project CARS 3 originally launched in 2020 on PlayStation and Xbox platforms along with a PC release, and was a successor to the Need for Speed: Shift series. It was generally considered the weakest Project CARS title, but it did feature a new career mode and supported VR on PC. The series was officially canceled by EA back in 2022, but sales remained until August 25th, 2025.
