Final Fantasy IX is currently available on Nintendo Switch digitally, however on December 9th, 2025 the game will also be available as a physical edition.
Compared to the original PlayStation release of Final Fantasy IX, the Nintendo Switch version includes 7 in game boosters (including the ability to turn off random encounters and speed up content), and features an auto-save system to avoid the loss of progress.
It will retail for $39.99, and can be purchased at most major outlets.
