Granblue Fantasy Coming to Steam, Current Accounts Do Not Transfer

Cygames has officially announced Granblue Fantasy will be coming to Steam on March 10th, 2026; existing accounts will not transfer.

Granblue Fantasy is the original browser game that launched the series back in 2014. Since then, the series has received an anime, and multiple spin-off titles including Granblue Fantasy Versus, and Granblue Fantasy: Relink. The game is currently available in English and can be played from browsers on mobile devices, or by using the PC client AndApp. All regions share the same server, with a language toggle option available.

The new Steam version of the game will only be released in select regions outside of Japan, and players cannot use their existing account.

While Granblue Fantasy is known for its great cast of characters and interesting story, those wishing to dive deeper into the title will be met with daily grinds that can take months to even years to accomplish a single step. Thankfully this doesn't limit those who simply want to enjoy the plot, but weapon grids, character grinds, and class unlock requirements all contribute to a time sink that can very well take the full 11 years to accomplish—something most existing players may not be willing to do a second time.

Even so, the Steam release will allow newcomers to the series to easily jump in, and finally experience the main game that began the series. Those who want to jump in and play on their mobile devices on the other hand, can simply head over to the Official Website and begin playing today.

Additionally, Granblue Fantasy just launched its Second Arc earlier this month, offering a new main story, new locations, new characters, and more new features. Players are given the option to switch to the Second Arc at any time, but it does in fact contain spoilers for the original story.
