Forza Horizon Has a Long History of Crossovers, Now it Tackles Gundam

In today's announcement for Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games shared plenty of detail about the upcoming title; however, it is the ending that might get a whole of fans extra excited.

As seen during the Xbox Developer Direct 2026, there is a few second clip where viewers can hear stomping sounds in the background, before a giant figure steps partly into view. While it isn't confirmed at the moment, fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam series will instantly recognize it as such—a Gundam.

While the color scheme matches the classic RX-78-2 Gundam, the mechanical pieces are more reminiscent of what we've seen in newer entries in the series. This is most likely a redesign of the original RX-78, but we'll have to wait for the full reveal to be sure.

Additionally it is unclear if Gundam will be included in the base game of Forza Horizon 6, or will be an expansion later on.

Previously the series as a whole has crossed over with iconic IPs such as: The Fast and Furious, Hot Wheels, LEGO, James Bond, Final Fantasy, Fallout, Halo, Cyberpunk and more, so a Gundam appearing isn't too surprising for a game set in Japan. Even so, it is great to see yet another an iconic series making its way into Forza.

Forza Horizon 6 launches May 19th, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
