Meta Closes Sanzaru Games, Armature Studio and Twisted Pixel

Meta
is officially closing Sanzaru Games, Armature Studio and Twisted Pixel as they shift their focus to Wearables.

The news was originally reported by Bloomberg but we here at Netto's Game Room reached out to confirm the report. Their response was as follows:

Hi Benjamin - Yes I can confirm as reported in Bloomberg, our statement below:

STATEMENT
“We said last month that we were shifting some of our investment from Metaverse toward Wearables. This is part of that effort, and we plan to reinvest the savings to support the growth of wearables this year." - Meta spokesperson

Sanzaru Games
is the studio well known for popular VR series Asgard's Wrath, but many PlayStation fans may recognize them as the team behind Sly Cooper Thieves in Time

Armature Studio was formed by former Retro Studios employees following the completion of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. They are well known for porting the Metal Gear Solid series for the HD collection, but also original titles such as ReCore, and more recently the Resident Evil 4 VR release.

Twisted Pixel is the team behind Splosion Man, and also developed Marvel's Deadpool VR.
