Grasshopper Manufacture has released additional story and character information for the upcoming ROMEO IS A DEAD MAN, set to release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on February 11th, 2026.

About:
Take control of the protagonist Romeo Stargazer in this third person singleplayer action adventure, split into various chapters. His story is both unpredictable and littered with intense battles, interspersed with side missions to suit the player's pace.
A story that transcends space-time
This game's story starts with space-time itself being shattered by a certain incident. Romeo, too, on the brink of life and death finds himself revived by a new kind of super technology. Thus he is recruited for the FBI's Space-Time Police as a special agent, and wanders the cosmos in search of criminals who've taken advantage of the situation at hand in an attempt to bring justice back to the universe. At the same time, he looks for clues concerning his missing girlfriend Juliet, and quickly comes to find both her disappearance and the destruction of space may be more linked than he thought. Donning the mask called Deadgear, what awaits Romeo at the edges of space-time?
Fight blood with blood
Romeo switches between swords and guns to fight. Wipe out the waves of enemies that stand in your path to give birth to a new kind of bloody action, and take down the fearsome space-time criminals that await. Absorb the blood of your enemies to unleash Romeo's special attack: Bloody Summer, capable of turning any situation around. Romeo Stargazer
Age 24 / Male / 190cm / Born November 5, 1995.
The protagonist of the story.
Originally a rookie deputy sheriff stationed in Deadford, Caliban County.
He lost half his face and his right arm in the incident that started it all, and was resurrected as a half-dead "DeadMan" thanks to his grandfather Benjamin's technology. The key piece is the DeadGear, a helmet that maintains his vitals and lifeforce.
After his resurrection, the FBI Space-Time Police suddenly appears and recruits him as a trainee investigator to track down space-time fugitives hiding out in the shattered universe.
He is also a stalwart older brother to Luna, his innocent kid sister. His grandfather Ben is more like his best friend than family. He’s got a knack for the occult and mystical.
Juliet Dendrobium
Age 23 / Female / Height 170cm / Born March 19, 1996.
The subject of Romeo’s adoration.
Romeo rescues her late one night in the outskirts of Deadford, where she’d collapsed in the road. Romeo in his boyish innocence is blind to her inherent mysteries, and takes her out on diner dates; just when they make plans to go on a trip, she disappears.
A mysterious brunette that is the center of this story.
Along his journey, Romeo encounters all sorts of monsters that wear her face.
Benjamin Stargazer
76 years old / Male / Height 182cm / Born July 3, 1943.
Romeo’s maternal grandfather, the most brilliant scientist and engineer in the universe.
Earlier in the story, he and Romeo are killed by a strange creature, but he resurrects himself using his own technology as a 2D being on Romeo’s jacket.
He acts as Romeo’s navigator, guiding him in his pursuit of Space-Time criminals.
He has a youthful look despite his age, possibly due to his everlasting curiosity.
An eccentric but kind old man, with a soft spot for his grandchildren.
Luna Stargazer
16 years old / Female / Approximately 160cm tall / Born September 10, 2003
Romeo's half-sister. 10th grader at Deadford High School.
After the fragmentation of space-time, she hides out in the Space-Time Ship with the FBI. She supports Romeo in his investigations alongside the other investigators and their mother.
While she can be a little childish, she has a way with words.
There’s rumours she’s got an international student for a boyfriend.
