The canceled Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has appeared on PlayStation Network as its trophy list goes live; however, it doesn't mean the game is returning.
What's interesting about the trophy list (which can be viewed in full below) is the fact that it was scheduled to go live just a little over a month after the project was canceled. While this list has been seen before in the past, trophies are not uploaded to PlayStation Network until either the day of release, or sometimes roughly a week before. Additionally, games are typically sent out to reviewers and outlets, such as ourselves, anywhere from a week or two weeks prior to the game's release; often before trophies have been uploaded to the server.
Going by this, it seems the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake could've been playable beginning on February 17th, 2026—27 days after the cancellation—though it could've also been a week later on the 24th. Whatever the case was, the game seems to have been set to release in early March, and was scheduled to be ready in February.
Either way, the title has in fact been canceled, and there is no official word on the project being rebooted. It is still interesting to see what the trophy list would've been, and fans of the original will already be familiar with these milestones, in what appears to be a relatively easy set of trophies to unlock. As for why the list has reappeared? Without official confirmation it is anyone's guess, but it was most likely a timer someone forgot to pull the plug on.
