Scriptorium: Master of Manuscripts Launches April 16th For PC

Developer Yaza Games and publisher Mythwright have announced Scriptorium: Master of Manuscripts, the unique manuscript workshop sim, will be launching on April 16th, 2026 for PC.

Players can wishlist the game today over at the Steam Page, or try out the game early via the free demo.

About:

Horses with human faces, gilded lettering framed by angels and lilies, and a blank canvas to bring weird and wonderful medieval artworks to life – welcome to the Scriptorium, a cozy, relaxing creative space with no timers and no pressure.

Create medieval illustrations for clients in Story Mode, spreading your art across the kingdom to become celebrated by bards and historians for centuries to come. Illustrate battles, romances and masquerade balls, decorate love letters, design maps, and fulfil bizarre requests from a colourful cast of characters. With every request, you’ll help shape a royal drama that must be seen to be believed.

Spend your earnings to decorate your workshop with furniture, lighting, tapestries, flowers, windows, columns, carpets, and your perfect pet companion – from a purring cat to a loyal dog, or even a tiny dragon.

Prefer pure creativity? Jump into Sandbox Mode to start with a blank parchment, the entire library of medieval assets, and no clients or commissions – just you and your boundless imagination! And once you’re done, share it. Save your work to your gallery, then export it as a PNG optimized for printing and social sharing. Show it to the world, or keep it forever as your own little masterpiece.
