Eclipse Glow Games has released a new behind-the-scenes video for their upcoming title Tides of Annihilation; additionally the developer has announced a hands-on event will also be taking place this Summer.
The new video showcases the technical progress the studio has made so far, and introduces a technical collaboration between the studio and Unreal Engine and NVIDIA.
As stated by the developers:
"These collaborations are focused on optimizing gameplay performance both in-engine and at driver-level but also to raise the bar for visual fidelity. The studio aims to take advantage of the latest hardware available for graphics, whilst pursuing a smooth experience across different hardware configurations."

In the behind-the-scenes development video, Producer of Tides of Annihilation Kun Fu, Lead Technical Artist of Tides of Annihilation, Kai Yuan, and Technical Director of Unreal Engine China Wei Liu, dove into the technical aspects including CPU and GPU optimization, fine-tuning animation, implementation of upscaling and path tracing, and the creation of a new Nanite-based hierarchical setup for the game’s giant knights.
