Mousebusters Coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on June 25th

Odencat has announced the recently released complete edition of Mousebusters will be coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on June 25th, 2026.

With the Steam version now available, Okapoo, the director of Mousebusters Complete Edition, and Ryota, the original creator of the game, had this message to share with fans.

Okapoo

“Thank you so much for your patience. Mousebusters Complete Edition has finally been released!

What began as a project to port the original mobile version gradually evolved into something much bigger. As development progressed, we felt strongly that, if we were going to bring the game back, we wanted to make it the best version possible with everything we can do today. With that in mind, we enhanced many aspects of the game—including exploration, presentation, and minigames—and decided to release it as the Complete Edition.

While staying true to the unique world and atmosphere that Ryota created in the original Mousebusters, we believe we've crafted an even more enjoyable experience.

For those who played the mobile version, we hope you'll discover plenty of new surprises and reasons to revisit the game. And for those experiencing Mousebusters For the very first time, we hope you'll fully enjoy everything this charming world has to offer.”

Ryota

“In the mobile version, after considering various options, we decided not to include gameplay elements such as battles. It was designed primarily as a story-focused experience.

The game was very well received and even earned a Top 3 award at the Indie Games Festival, so I don't think that decision was the wrong one. Still, it remained a small regret of mine.

That's why, when we started working on this new version, the main request I made was simply: “Let's add more gameplay.”

Before I knew it, however, Okapoo had gone far beyond that request, greatly expanding and enhancing many other aspects of the game as well.

You've probably already seen some screenshots, but in addition to battles, we've added a variety of new activities that let you experience the world from a mouse's perspective. I think the result is a much more fun and engaging game, and I hope you'll give it a try.”
