After much backlash following the announcement of the Kingdom Hearts Collection, Square Enix has released new official key art for the title.
The issue in question arose when many fans began to realize there was something wrong with Donald, or more specifically his hand. While the default artwork seemed fine, the larger 1x1, 4x6 and 9x16 versions featured rearranged characters, which revealed Donald's obscured hand actually has an additional finger. This has lead to speculation that AI was used in creation of these additional pieces of key art, with additional smaller details also exhibiting signs that AI was used upon closer inspection.
While Square Enix has yet to officially comment on the matter, the artwork has been replaced with the versions shared in Japan, which did not contain these issues.
