KOEI TECMO and developer Omega Force has announced additional details for the upcoming Attack on Titan 3, set to release in the Winter of 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Similar to Attack on Titan 2, Attack on Titan 3 will feature the return of the character creator, allowing players to see the events of the full story in a new light. Exterior Scouting Missions now allow players to freely explore the world beyond the walls, construct supply bases, and take down dangerous titans. This new survival type mode will force players to manage their resources, and keep their ODM fuel and blades in check. However newcomers can also make use of the new Casual Mode, and simply enjoy both the story and action at their own pace.
Additionally KOEI TECMO has announced that MAPPA, the animation studio that worked on Attack on Titan: The Final Season, will be handling the opening animation, with action scene animator, storyboard artist, and key animator Arifumi Imai returning as director.
