KOEI TECMO and Team Ninja have released the July 2026 Roadmap for the newly released Dead or Alive 6: Last Round, and the pricing is quite surprising.
Each week in July a different character will be receiving a set of additional costumes. The first set is for Marie Rose, and releases today (July 2nd), with Kasumi to follow on week 2, NiCO on week 3, and finally Tamaki on week 4.
In the previous version of Dead or Alive 6, individual costumes were sold for $1.99 (with a handful of special ones priced at $2.99), with bundles being priced according to how many costumes they included. For example, one bundle is priced at $23.99, however it contains 26 costumes. While owning every cosmetic is quite expensive, similar to other titles supported by cosmetic shops and season passes, there is no advantage to doing so. Fans could simply spend a couple of dollars here and there for styles they truly loved, and call it good. These previously purchased costumes do transfer forward into Last Round as well, so players do not have to repurchase them. With the new set of DLC however? Things have now changed.
Rather than sticking with the original pricing, newly released costumes are now $7.99, a whole $6 up from the original game. Additionally the Marie Rose bundle, which consists of four variations of the same costume, is priced at $20.99. This is a significant increase, and seems to be the pattern the game will follow going forward.
At this time a price point has not been revealed for the future DLC characters.
Previously, we here at Netto's Game Room reviewed Dead or Alive 6: Last Round. While we enjoyed the game itself for its fun fighting mechanics, improved costume unlock system, and general amount of content, the lack of improvements over the original Dead or Alive 6 and the decision not to include cross-play or rollback netcode was a disappointment. At the time, we were not informed about the DLC situation, but we have since revised our review to include this new information.
Dead or Alive 6: Last Round is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
