Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold Launches February 23rd, Second Class and More Detailed

Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XIV Evercold will release on February 23rd, 2026; new details announced, and a new job "Zephyr" has been revealed.

The Collector’s Bundle will be available for pre-order in limited quantities exclusively from the Square Enix Store and contains the physical Collector’s Box and a code for the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Evercold Digital Collector’s Edition for Windows® or Mac. PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Steam players can order the Collector’s Box as a standalone product and pre-order the Evercold Digital Collector’s Edition separately on their respective platforms.

The Evercold Collector’s Box includes the physical goods listed below and does not include a copy of Evercold, in-game items, or pre-order bonuses.

Players who pre-order FINAL FANTASY XIV: Evercold from participating retailers will be eligible to receive the following bonuses:

Early Access – Early access is tentatively scheduled to begin on Friday, Feb. 19, 2027 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT) and will allow users to play Evercold ahead of the official release.

In-game Item: Halone’s Earring – This useful earring features attributes that will vary according to the user's class/job and current level when equipped. Additionally, the earring grants a 30% increase in EXP gained by defeating enemies when worn, perfect for leveling your jobs to 100.

Pre-order bonuses will be registered automatically for purchases made through the Mog Station, PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo eShop, with no separate pre-order code required. Purchases made through select retailers will grant a pre-order bonus code that can be redeemed immediately. As the in-game items will be delivered immediately upon pre-order, players can take advantage of the Halone’s Earring EXP bonus from defeating monsters through level 100 ahead of the release of Evercold.

A new trailer for the EVANGELION: Ghosts of Desire Alliance raid crossover was also revealed, alongside the announcement of new high-difficulty 8-player battles featuring select bosses from the alliance raid to create more challenging, savage-like eight-player encounters.

A new piece of artwork created by FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura was revealed alongside information on the newest difficulty option for raid encounters. The “Fierce” difficulty will fall between Normal and Savage difficulties currently available and will provide another avenue for an even wider range of players to experience the content.

Evolved Combat Mode – A new way to play your Warrior of Light that highlights each job’s unique identity.
New Reward System: Seasons – Seasons bring a significant change to how item rewards are obtained, providing a higher level of freedom to play the way you want to play.
Improved Character Creation & Character Action Skins – Expanded character customization and Character Action Skins allow new ways to express your character's personality.
Miscellaneous Updates – Expanded housing features, PvP updates, a revamped companion chocobo system and much more beginning in Patch 8.1.
