The 100-tier Battle Pass features more than 100 rewards, including two new free weapons, and features a new catch-up mechanic that automatically unlocks rewards for players who fall behind each day, up to Day 50.

BlackCell introduces XERO, along with additional skins, Weapon Blueprints, challenges, and DMZ benefits.

Players can also find a new lineup of Store Bundles, including several Mastercraft and Ultra Skin offerings, as well as a Captain Price bundle inspired by his time as ‘Prisoner 627’ in the Russian Gulag.

For more, here is the overview as provided by Activision over at the Call of Duty Blog.

Overview:

Season 1 Battle Pass and BlackCell: 50+ Guaranteed Rewards!

The Season 1 Battle Pass is packed with 100+ Rewards, including a brand-new catch-up system that guarantees 50+ rewards in the Battle Pass. In addition to the normal unlocking of Battle Pass content, players who fall behind in the Battle Pass will be automatically caught up to the Reward matching the current day of the season, up to day 50.

The Battle Pass itself is easier to navigate: Log in to collect your rewards and keep playing to unlock an easy-to-follow 100-tier track filled with additional Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Finishing Moves, Calling Cards, Weapon Charms, Reticles, and more.

How Do I Purchase the Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Battle Pass?

You can purchase the Season 1 Battle Pass in one of four different ways:
  • Battle Pass: For 1,100 COD Points, receive access to the Season 1 Battle Pass.
  • Battle Pass Bundle: For 2,400 COD Points, receive access to the Season 1 Battle Pass, plus 20 Tier Skip Tokens.
  • BlackCell: Purchase BlackCell, and you automatically receive access to the Season 1 Battle Pass, plus 20 Tier Skip Tokens, as well as all earnable BlackCell content and other rewards detailed below.
  • Vault Edition: For players who purchase the Modern Warfare 4 Vault Edition, in addition to all the other Vault Edition rewards, you gain access to all BlackCell and Battle Pass content, providing you log into the game during Season 1.
How Does the Modern Warfare 4 Battle Pass Work?

The plan is straightforward: Simply play Modern Warfare 4 Multiplayer, DMZ, or Call of Duty®: Warzone™, earning XP as you go, which levels up your Battle Pass from Tier 1 through 100.
  • Simply earn Tiers through playing the game.
  • Battle Pass owners also receive a 10% Battle Pass XP Boost for the entire season, as a reward for purchasing the Battle Pass.
  • Optionally use Tier Skip Tokens with COD Points to instantly claim any unlocked rewards.*
  • Optionally use Battle Pass 2XP Tokens you’ve acquired to quicken progress throughout the Battle Pass. Active XP Tokens are paused outside of matches.
Auto Catch-up: Players who fall behind in the Battle Pass are automatically caught up to the Tier reward matching the current day of the season, up to day 50.

*Tier Skip Tokens: Tier Skip Tokens allow you to access higher level rewards in the Battle Pass, unlocking content ahead of the next tier on the track. Players who purchase the Battle Pass Bundle can use their Tier Skip Tokens to access any of the 10 unlocked tiers ahead of their current position, while BlackCell users can grab rewards from up to 20 tiers ahead. Spending a Tier Skip Token on a higher tier reward will not change your in-progress position on the Battle Pass.

Season 1: Main Battle Pass and BlackCell Operators

Get more intel on featured Season 1 Operators Blix and XERO, who both excel in the art of stealth and precision.

Blix (Battle Pass, Launch)

Battle Pass Instant Reward

A former South Korean Special Warfare Command operator, Blix was captured during a covert border mission and held for years. After surviving imprisonment, he was transferred through a network of foreign captives and deployed into proxy conflicts.

War reshaped his view of combat into an absolute doctrine. He began tattooing survival codes and tactical principles across his skin, turning himself into a living archive. His mechanical efficiency and indifference to pain drew the attention of masked mercenary leader Nikto, who recruited him as a premier operative. Now in the Exclusion Zone, Blix carries out each objective with silent, disciplined precision.

XERO (BlackCell, Launch)

BlackCell Instant Reward

BlackCell has no record of XERO before a classified development program involving behavioral conditioning, synthetic identities, and experimental combat training. His designation traces back to X-0, an internal prototype number later replaced by a single name: XERO.

Field personnel describe him as unnervingly controlled, with flashes of memory tied to places and people absent from his official history. BlackCell refuses to explain them. Some believe his identity was erased; others suspect he was assembled from failed subjects. One theory is more disturbing: BlackCell created XERO’s past where none existed.

Now deployed when an operation requires complete deniability, XERO remains one of BlackCell’s most closely controlled assets.
