LINE Games has unveiled their latest in-house developed game, Ember and Blade; a brand new tough-as-nails soulslike set for release on PC in 2026.
During the announcement Donghyun "Dean" Cho, CEO of LINE Games, had this to say:
“Ember and Blade kicks off what we believe will be a standout year for LINE Games. It’s just one of several ambitious titles we’re launching through 2025 and 2026, and we can’t wait for fans to experience it firsthand later this year.”
Additionally a demo was announced with a target release during the second half of 2025. More details about the game will be revealed in the coming months, but until then, here is the official overview and brand new announcement trailer. You can also wishlist the game on Steam today.
Overview:
Set in a dark fantasy world, Ember and Blade follows the story of a demon hunter named Fenrix, who, on the brink of death, forms a pact with an angel to gain immortality.
Players will journey through a sealed, forsaken realm to stop the resurrection of an ancient archdemon — facing overwhelming odds and unraveling the dark secrets of a dying world.
With a distinct visual style built around subdued colors and stylized art, the game offers fast-paced, action-driven gameplay. Players will engage in intense one-versus-many encounters and take on challenging boss fights built around intricate combat patterns. A flexible character progression system encourages diverse builds and personalized playstyles.
Ember and Blade offers full controller and handheld gaming PC support, along with New Game Plus (NG+) for extended replayability, in addition to traditional keyboard and mouse controls — ensuring a seamless experience across a variety of control setups..
