With Discord facing backlash for its recent decision to enforce Age Verification, many users are now looking for alternatives. While there are many out there, one newly released option is Root; a service that allows users to import their existing Discord Servers.
While Root offers a similar experience to Discord, complete with custom servers—text channels, voice channels, custom roles, etc,—it also has an additional Task Manager feature which allows for improved coordination between teams.
Currently we here at Netto's Game Room plan to continue operating our Discord Server, but Root is one of the many services we are considering as a replacement. Using the Template Import feature we were able to duplicate our server, but for the time being it private for our own internal testing only. Even so, we felt we should at least inform other Discord users of this alternative option.
Root is available to download on both PC and Mobile Devices, and is completely free for anyone who'd like to test it out for themselves.
