X user Destin Legarie has recently shared an interview with Sony's Hiroki Totoki discussing the possibility of moving PlayStation production to the United States to avoid tariffs.
Additionally Sony has confirmed that the tariffs will most likely cause a 100 billion yen (roughly $684,420,535) impact on the company.
Looking past Sony, Microsoft officially announced
that the prices will be going up on all Xbox hardware, accessories, and
on first party developed games. Specific console editions have increased by $100, with games being bumped up to $79.99. It seems Sony would love to avoid this if possible, and moving production to the US might be the only way.
