Keep in mind that this is in fact a rumor, but since yesterday two well known voice actors have announced they were not asked to return for the apparent Persona 4 Remake.
The actors were none other than Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Yosuke, and Erin Fitzgerald, the current voice of Chie.
Here are screen captures of both posts which were shared to BlueSky.
Of course this does not officially confirm the existence of a Persona 4 remake, but the fact that two known VAs have made reference to it strongly suggests it will be a reality.
Previously the Persona 3 remake also featured an all new cast, with some of the original voices playing side characters. This could be the case here as well, but we will have to wait for an official announcement to know more.
We here at Netto’s Game Room will keep following this story, and provide official announcements once they are available. With Summer Game Fest set for June, that news may come sooner rather than later.
Update: Amanda Winn Lee, the voice of Yukiko has also joined the list.
