Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

Continuing the RPG trend, Fantasy Life i is the latest entry within the Fantasy Life series, and it is shaping up to be the biggest entry in the series to date. While it might not check all of the same boxes as the original, the game is packed full of content, and is great for those who enjoy both RPGs and "cozy games." It isn't quite Animal Crossing, but it is a game that lets you live out your dream, well, fantasy life!

Fast Fusion

Fast Fusion
is a crazy over the top sci-fi racing game that is very reminiscent of games like Wipeout and Nintendo's very own F-Zero. It is said to be "the fastest game you've ever experienced," and it is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2.

It is the next entry in the Mario Kart series, but it is also the first one to feature a massive open connected world. It is packed full of characters to play as, and countless secrets for fans to discover, and supports up to 24 players within a single race. It is the biggest game in the series yet, and a must for fans.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is more of an extended tutorial than a game. It interacts with the accessories you own for the Switch 2, and tells you different facts about them, and gives examples on how they can be used. It is a tech demo for the console, and unfortunately must be purchased separately. It also requires owning every major accessory for the console to complete, so it isn't a "cheap" game if you want to truly do "everything" it has to offer.

NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening Complete Edition

The long running strategy series returns. NOBUNAGA’S AMBITION: Awakening Complete Edition is, as the name suggests, the complete edition for Awakening. It features a mixture of farming, life simulation elements, and JRPG elements, with some town building aspects being thrown in this time as well. It is a game that can appeal to both cozy gamers and JRPG fans alike, and is more of a "return to form" fans of the series have been waiting for.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is also on the Nintendo Switch 2, and perfect for fans of the series who prefer Nintendo consoles. Sonic X Shadow Generations

Sonic X Shadow Generations is the newest version of the well received classic Sonic Generation, but it also features a completely new game within it that focuses on Shadow. The game is packed full of content and non-stop Sonic nostalgia, and the Switch 2 version makes use of the new hardware to provide better visuals. It is the best way to play the game on Nintendo hardware, but it is a solid game no matter where you play it.

Split Fiction

Split Fiction is the next game from the developer behind It Takes Two, and once again it focuses on unique co-op gameplay. The game was previously exclusive to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, but now Nintendo fans will be able to join in on the hype thanks to the new Switch 2 release. It is a perfect game for those with a gaming partner to play with, as teamwork is key and the only way this game can be played.

Street Fighter 6

Capcom's legendary fighting series is also on the Switch 2 with Street Fighter 6. The game includes both Year 1 and Year 2 content, and lets Switch 2 owners catch up to the fans playing on other consoles. The Switch 2 version offers wireless local multiplayer, but it also contains all of the game modes and features from from the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC releases.

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster

Surprisingly, the Switch 2 isn't done with RPGs in its launch lineup. Suikoden I & II HD Remaster is also out on day one for the Nintendo Switch 2, and features two fully remastered classic titles. Progress from Suikoden I is used to unlock features and content in Suikoden II, with both games coming together to tell one complete story. There is a reason JRPG fans hold these games in such high regards, and now fans can check them out on their brand new Switch 2.

Survival Kids

Survival Kids is a unique co-op survival game that is exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. The game supports up to 4 players online or 2 players locally, and sees players gathering resources, catching fish, and crafting whatever it is they need to survive. These are the original full games, but now updated with better framerate, resolution, and load times. Additionally they can make use of the new Zelda Notes app which acts as a game guide, and provides a deeper look at the world while you play.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut

Yakuza 0 is the "game that starts it all" within the Yakuza (Like a Dragon) series. Although it wasn't the first title to be released, the game acts as an origin story for both Kiryu and Majima, and shows the events that would eventually lead up to Yakuza Kiwami (which is currently on the Nintendo Switch). The game is dark crime drama that takes players into the criminal underworld in Japan, while also providing non-stop comedy and over the top action at every turn. On paper this might sound like a strange mix, but players who take their first step into this world will quickly understand why it is loved by so many, and will be sucked in up until the very end. Yakuza 0 is the perfect place to start, and now Nintendo Switch 2 owners can do just that; they can even play the new exclusive multiplayer mode added for the Switch 2 release!

Nintendo GameCube – Nintendo Classics

And finally, at launch three Nintendo GameCube Classics are available for those with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription. The classic high speed racing game F-Zero GX is here, along side The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and the fighting game SOULCALIBUR II, which also featured Link from The Legend of Zelda as a playable character.

These three classics are just the start of what the service will offer over time, but they are three strong titles for players to jump into, offering three unique experiences.
