One of the original virtual communities and social games Habbo Hotel has turned 25 years old, and they are kicking off a celebration that invites back all members.
“Habbo turning 25 is a huge moment for us,” said Mika Timonen, Product Director at Habbo. “Very few online communities make it this far, and even fewer stay this active. What’s kept Habbo going all these years is the passion and creativity of our players. This anniversary is as much a celebration of them as it is of the game itself.”
As a part of the celebration Habbo will be holding multiple events, will be bringing back requested features, and will pass out additional rewards for long time players. These rewards will be given to players who meet the 15, 20, and 25 year veteran status (20 year account holder here...), and is Habbo's way of thanking everyone for being a part of the game's history.

The Return of the Furni-Matic
Back by popular demand, the classic recycling machine lets players trade unwanted furniture (or “furni”) for a chance at rare new rewards. Alongside it, a brand-new system called the Collecti-Matic introduces exclusive drops for Habbo Collectibles – a blockchain-powered set of features that have reinvigorated the economy for long-time collectors.
Loyalty Crowns for 15, 20 & 25-Year Veterans
To honor long-term players, Habbo is releasing exclusive anniversary crowns tied to account age. Some users have been logging in since the early 2000s, and they’ll now get the recognition they deserve.
Player-Made Public Night
Created by a long-time Habbo player, this public hangout space uses advanced in-game logic (“Wired” furni) to shift from sun-soaked day to neon-lit night – highlighting the creativity tools available to players today.
Classic Games Return with New Quests
Fan-favorite games from Habbo’s past make a comeback, now integrated with limited-time quests that reward players with in-game currency to unlock exclusive event items.
First-Ever Animated Clothing Items
