Nintendo
has announced WARPSTAR, Inc., which became a consolidated subsidiary of Nintendo back on April 1, 2025, has now been rebranded as Nintendo Stars Inc., and will be focusing on expanding Nintendo's IP world wide via movies, films, live events, merchandise, and by other means.

WARPSTAR, Inc. was originally founded on July 31, 2001, for the anime series Kirby of the Stars (known as Kirby: Right Back At Ya! in the West). The series ran for 100 episodes and released one short, and was used as a way to market the Kirby franchise. Episodes featured content from Kirby's Dream Land, Super Star, and Kirby Air Ride, while Kirby's Nightmare in Dream Land itself was released as a companion game to the series.

With the change to Nintendo Stars Inc., Nintendo hopes to bring the same treatment to other Nintendo IPs, while also continuing their focus on Kirby. Currently Nintendo has two confirmed movies in the works, one of which being a live action The Legend of Zelda movie, and the other being the Super Mario Movie sequel.
