WayForward has confirmed that Shantae 7 is now in development.
As stated by WayForward:
Following the highly anticipated release of the previous Shantae game this past August comes the announcement that the next, all-new, seventh entry in the fan-favorite series is already under development by Shantae series director/co-creator Matt Bozon and his team. Though no gameplay details are available at this time, the announcement was accompanied by a new piece of teaser artwork featuring series protagonist Shantae and her nemesis, nefarious pirate Risky Boots, both with subtle revisions to their designs, including new hair styles.
Unfortunately this means we will have to wait awhile before the game is fully revealed, but fans will be happy to know the game is on its way.
