Chase your best times, race against your ghost, and compete with friends and players worldwide in the online leaderboards.
Background:Aerosurfer was born out of an exploration into simulating real-world airfoil physics and attaching a pair of wings to the player’s arms. Though the first attempts were already promising, we soon shifted focus more towards making the wings feel good rather than being physically accurate, which resulted in the more arcade type of gameplay seen in Aerosurfer. We also spent a lot of time making the gliding feel as satisfying as possible.
The initial direction for Aerosurfer was an open-world exploration game with light narrative. However, we scrapped this idea after experimenting with adding the surfing mechanic. We zeroed in on feeling of being in the zone while hurling through the air literally centimeters away from crashing, making Aerosurfer into a high paced, competitive game. To tell a little secret, some developers on the team still prefer the open-world concept, which can clearly be seen in the main menu.
