Disney and Meta have released the official Disney+ app on Meta Quest.
Previously Disney+ could be watched using the built in web browser, and services such as Bigscreen VR; however the new stand alone app allows for higher quality visuals and audio.
The app is free to download, however users must have an active Disney+ subscription to watch shows and movies. Also it is important to note that 3D versions of movies are not available in the app at this time, making it strictly a 2D experience.
Those with a Disney+ Premium; Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium, or Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Bundle Premium subscription will also have the ability to download movies and shows directly to the device, allowing content to be viewed without an internet connection.
