GameStop has seemingly leaked, and now removed, additional information regarding Resident Evil Requiem and its deluxe edition, including two story DLCs, a major update to the Mercenaries mode, and the return of Rosemary Winters.
The following information appeared under Product Details on the Deluxe Edition version of Resident Evil Requiem, but has since been removed.
According to GameStop, the Deluxe Edition will include:
- "The Sanctuary" Expansion Pass: Includes 2 new story scenarios and a major Mercenaries mode update.
- "Morphic Visor" Cosmetic Filter: A unique cosmetic look for Rose's visor.
- "Shadow Walker" Costume Pack: 3 exclusive outfits for Rosemary Winters.
- Digital Artbook & Official Soundtrack
In the revised version of the description, it now states "Five costumes including Grace's Costume: Dimitrescu" instead.
While this does not confirm Rose will in fact be in Resident Evil Requiem, typically product descriptions and overviews are provided by the publisher. This goes for news articles as well where outlets are provided with press releases to copy and format as a part of the announcement. There are rarely situations where such information needs to be retyped prior to sharing, although additional embargoed information may be included to be shared at a later date.
Whatever the case is, GameStop has now corrected their descriptions, and removed all references to Rose being in the game. It should be noted that Rose was born in the early 2020s, and with Requiem taking place in the late 20s. This means Rose would still be a kid during Grace's section of the story. If the title will have a flash forward similar to Resident Evil Village's DLC episode is yet to be seen, but it is always a possibility. This is however completely speculation until Capcom confirms her inclusion, and in what way.
