In today's announcement for Forza Horizon 6, Playground Games shared plenty of detail about the upcoming title; however, it is the ending that might get a whole of fans extra excited.
As seen during the Xbox Developer Direct 2026, there is a brief clip where viewers can hear heavy stomping in the background before a giant figure steps partially into view. While not yet officially confirmed, fans of the Mobile Suit Gundam series will instantly recognize the feet.
Although the color scheme matches the classic RX-78-2 Gundam, the mechanical details are more reminiscent of newer entries in the franchise. This is likely a redesign of the original RX-78, but we will have to wait for the full reveal to be certain. Of course it’s also possible this isn’t Gundam, but rather a reference, so we’ll have to wait until that announcement to be sure.
Additionally, it remains unclear whether Gundam (if it is Gundam) will be included in the Forza Horizon 6 base game or arrive later as an expansion. The series has a history of crossing over with iconic IPs—such as The Fast and the Furious, Hot Wheels, LEGO, James Bond, Final Fantasy, Fallout, Halo, and Cyberpunk 2077—so a Gundam appearance isn't entirely surprising for a game set in Japan. Even so, it is exciting to see such an iconic franchise making its way into Forza.
Will other popular series make it into Forza Horizon 6? That remains to be seen, but there are always car customization options that allow players to create nearly anything. Past titles were filled with cars featuring anime and video game decals, so you can expect more of the same when Horizon 6 launches.
Forza Horizon 6 launches May 19th, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
