Square Enix has teased a continuation of NieR Automata as the title reaches over 10 million copies sold.
NieR: Automata is the sequel to the original NieR, which itself is a follow-up to Drakengard. Outside of video games, the series has received multiple novels, short stories, and manga entries, all of which are canon to the overall timeline. More recently, the mobile entry NieR Reincarnation reached its conclusion, ending with a teaser set shortly after the events of NieR: Automata.
While the new teaser doesn't confirm the form this continuation will take on, series creator Yoko Taro has expressed interest in future video game entries.
