Hotel Dusk and Another Code Writer's Visual Novel 'Dark Auction' Announced For Nintendo Switch 2

Good Smile Company and Izanagi Games has announced Dark Auction the visual novel written by Hotel Dusk and Another Code's Rika Suzuki is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 11th, 2026 in Japan; currently available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC. 

Previously we had a chance to speak with the game's director Shinsuke Umeda to learn more about the title, but for more here is a quick overview. A US release date has yet to be confirmed.

Dark Auction, a thrilling detective ADV by Izanagi Games, Inc. and Good Smile Company, Inc. is officially coming to the West. The game’s first Demo has been released on October 10th in anticipation of Steam Next Fest.

Play as Noah as he sets out alone into a mysterious castle deep in the Black Forest in search of his father, who never returned after attending a secret auction. There, he witnesses a shocking scene and encounters something that…should not be of this world. Soon, Noah realizes he is trapped in the castle along with other participants.

To uncover the truths hidden in the auction items, he must follow the rules and take part in this strange auction. Join him in this shadowy world with a script and scenario written by Rika Suzuki, known for her brilliant work on Another Code and Hotel Dusk: Room 215.

Story

Freely explore 3D maps to find clues scattered throughout the castle. Interact with participants and discover different information depending on your dialogue choices.

Organize collected items and keywords to approach the truth behind the story. These deductions play a key role in solving the auction’s mysteries.

Auction
To win auction items, you must offer a “memory.” Guide and refine the memories provided by your target as their supporter. If the memory is correct, the auction succeeds, revealing the true story behind the auctioned items.
