Silent Case: Motel Lumina Announced for PC, Inspired by The Nintendo DS Classic Hotel Dusk

Solo indie developer BASS has announced Silent Case: Motel Lumina, a new visual novel inspired by the Nintendo DS classic Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and its sequel Last Window: The Secret of Cape West; set for release on PC in 2027.

While we have been told development is progressing smoothly, a Kickstarter Campaign is now live for those who would like to show their support and help fund the project. Additionally a demo is set to release in July of 2026, giving a players an early look at the full release.

About:

Silent Case: Motel Lumina follows Dorian Slade, a 35-year-old detective scarred by a tragic incident that befell his partner years ago.

Stranded at the rundown Motel Lumina and its surroundings—populated by peculiar individuals possibly tied to his past—Dorian is driven to avenge his partner and clarify the unresolved past, while uncovering the motel's hidden enigmas and shadowy inhabitants.

A noir visual novel where Dorian Slade checks into the decaying Motel Lumina after a car breakdown. Amid its enigmatic characters and peculiar surroundings, he explores in 3D, solves 2D/3D puzzles, and pursues leads to avenge his partner and shed light on the dark events of his past.
