Survivor Roguelite 'Luminas: Parasite Reign' Coming Soon to Steam, Demo Available March 26th

Indie developer SOTO Game Studio has announced their debut title Luminas: Parasite Reign will be coming soon to Steam with a Demo available beginning March 26th, 2026.

The title is a party-based bullet heaven featuring survivor roguelite elements. Players can head over to the Steam Page to wishlist the game today, and check out the demo for themselves on March 26th. An Early Access Preview is also coming in the near future, so stay tuned for ways to interact with the developer and share feedback.

About:

Meet a whimsical cast of supernatural creatures and lead them through endless waves of parasites that corrupt their land. Select from various spell abilities on each run, learn passive effects, and unlock new Luminas that will gradually grow into each of their own evolutionary upgrades along the way.

A Party-Based Bullet Heaven

Luminas: Parasite Reign offers a new take on the Roguelite survivors genre, where survival relies entirely on party-based team building. Begin your run by selecting your Lumina of choice, such as Pyropeep the dragon, Shelly the Turtle, and more. Guide your party of up to three total members through enemy waves by exploring the map to awaken other Luminas and opening chests for power-ups. Draw from unique spell abilities, which will offer additional stat effects and boons to help you avoid being overwhelmed by ever-growing swarms. Each Lumina offers distinct elemental powers that will define your party’s playstyle. Pull DPS cards that deliver increasingly amplified damage, heavy offensive cards for explosive AoE blows, or opt for team-building buffs as a tanky support. Battle new parasites across diverse biomes, from icy caverns to volcanic zones. Complete arena events against bosses that require different strategies for defeat, using puzzle-solving or damage-led attacks, and offering special drop bonuses to aid your current run. 

Mix and Match Synergy Combinations

Pair Luminas strategically to create the most powerful spell synergies possible within your party. As you continue to level up and draw, pair specific combinations together to earn main spell upgrades or unlock rare new spells to add to your overall arena. In between runs, exchange gold at the village for treasure and visit each Lumina’s hub to upgrade their skill trees. Test out different equippable items and party compositions to discover the best possible builds. Eventually, your Luminas will enter an Evolutionary state, where they will reveal new traits and stat enhancements. These evolutionary upgrades boost your power and encourage future build upgrades based on how you have assembled your team, so choose wisely! 

Early Access Preview Coming Soon

The development team would love to invite players to participate in the upcoming Luminas: Parasite Reign Early Access preview demo, where they can share their feedback as the game is still in development. In the Early Access demo, players can experience the first map biome, get a feel for the Luminas, and face opening boss battles.
