Dead or Alive 6: Last Round is finally here, and with it comes a major improvement to the original costume system.
In the original release of Dead or Alive 6, costumes were locked behind a Pattern Parts system where they were given to players for completing activities across the game. Each part obtained was for a random costumes on a random character, and a high number of parts were required to finally unlock the costume. With the randomness and high requirements, it was possible for players to invest dozens of hours into the title, yet never unlock a single thing they truly wanted. Thankfully this was patched later on by increasing the rate at which parts were earned, and by also making it so parts were more likely to correspond to a costume of the character that was currently in use. While, Dead or Alive 6: Last Round still features this same mechanic, it has been greatly streamlined.

Rather than needing hundreds of parts per costume, each one now only requires 100 parts. With game modes such as DOA Quest providing 300+ parts for completing simple missions, it is now possible to unlock multiple costumes for one character in a short amount of time. Additionally, parts are handed out like candy through standard play as well, making it much easier for fans to unlock their favorite outfits.
With that being said, Last Round does feature a handful of new costumes as well, mainly for popular characters such as Kasumi, and we have put together a full album showing off each and every one included in the base game—with the exception of the two SNK DLC characters Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond.
