SEGA has officially announced a Closed Network Test will be coming for Crazy Taxi: World Tour on September 11th; signups will be available until August 31st, and supports PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The test will include:
- Two Maps to Explore
- Four Characters
- Six Cars
- and various car tune-up options
Players must be at least 13 years or older, and will need to complete the signup process to apply.

Sign up to receive news and for a chance to participate in the free Crazy Taxi: World Tour Closed Network Test (CNT), pending availability, by August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT / September 1, 2026 at 06:59 UTC. Restricted to participants that are 13 years or older with a SEGA Account and access to one of the supported platforms: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, or Steam.
Sega may select participants through one or more selection methods, including random selection and priority consideration programs through official Crazy Taxi: World Tour Discord. Eligible applicants may have opportunities to earn points that may be redeemed for priority consideration through designated community engagement activities. Priority consideration may increase an applicant's likelihood of selection but does not guarantee participation in the CNT. Selection rates may vary based on platform, region, available capacity, technical requirements, and other operational considerations. Certain platforms may have limited participant capacity and may therefore be subject to additional selection restrictions or lower selection rates than other platforms.
If you are selected, SEGA will provide instructions on how to access and participate in the CNT. All participants selected for the CNT shall be subject to the CNT Terms of Use.
Signing up does not guarantee participation. If you are not selected, keep an eye out for future Crazy Taxi: World Tour emails to be one of the first to know about upcoming game tests, news, and events from the SEGA group companies.
This Multiplayer Closed Network Test is being conducted with a work-in-progress build. It may contain bugs or other elements that are still being worked on by the team. Thank you for your understanding.

WHAT IS THE CLOSED NETWORK TEST?
We will be inviting a small number of players to test the stability of the online multiplayer functionality ahead of the full release of Crazy Taxi: World Tour.
Please be aware that this is meant to be a technical test, therefore there may be unexpected bugs, glitches, or stability issues.
WHAT CONTENT WILL BE AVAILABLE?
Players will be able to participate in two multiplayer modes: Pickup Race and Cops ‘N’ Cabbies. Please note that single player and the story mode will be unavailable for this test, but these modes will be available for full release.
In Pickup Race, up to 6 players will compete with each other to drop off as many passengers as possible within a set time limit, earning as much crazy money as possible.
In Cops ‘N’ Cabbies, players will be split into two teams competing against each other.
For either mode, they can be played in a Ranked Match, where players will be matchmade with each other, or in Custom Match, where custom lobbies and rules can be set.
