Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis will end service on October 6th of 2026.
In a message shared on the official website, it was stated that the team has done their best to provide the best experience possible, however they have determined it would be difficult to continue doing so. This lead the team to make the difficult decision to shut the game down, and end its nearly three year run.
Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is currently still available on mobile and PC, and contains retellings of the Final Fantasy VII series. It also includes multiple original stories which expand the universe, and dives into Sephiroth's past.

At this time it has yet to be announced if an offline version of the game will be made available, but in game events will continue to be released up until the title's end of service date. User accounts will also be automatically deleted once all procedures associated with the end of the service have been completed. Additionally, the Steam version of the title is no longer available for download for new users, but those who have already redeemed the game may continue playing up until the servers close.

Message from Square Enix:
We regret to inform you that we will be ending service for FINAL FANTASY VII EVER CRISIS on Oct. 6, 2026, at 11:00 PM PDT.
We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for the abrupt nature of this announcement.
Since the launch of the App Store and Google Play versions on Sep. 7, 2023, and the Steam version on Dec. 6, 2023, we have worked to provide the best possible experience for our players. After careful consideration, however, we have determined that it will be difficult to continue doing so and have made the decision to end service.
