Spike Chunsoft has officially announced the new character Sakutaro Higashi featured in the upcoming Danganronpa 2x2, set to release on January 14th, 2027 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

I’m Natsuki Hanae, and I play Sakutaro Higashi in Danganronpa 2×2. I’m here to introduce myself as the voice behind the character making his debut in Danganronpa 2x2.
The character I play, Higashi, is one of the high school students who gets caught up in the class trials in Slayhem mode. When it comes to Danganronpa, I’m sure everyone is curious about his Ultimate talent... well, you'll have to play the game to find out!
This is my first time participating in the Danganronpa series, and it's a huge honor to be a part of it. The recording sessions were incredibly fun. Reading through the script, and learning about the culprits, the tricks, and other things. I had such a great time, and really hope all of you will enjoy it too!

Hey I'm voice actor Griffin Burns, and I play Sakutaro Higashi in Danganronpa 2x2.
I am thrilled to be making my debut in 2x2. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
The character I play, Higashi, is one of the high school students that gets dragged into the Class Trial during the Slayhem mode. As for Higashi's "Ultimate" talent which everyone wonders about when it comes to Danganronpa... well, you'll just have to play the game to find out!

Slayhem Mode
Danganronpa 2x2 lets players experience Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair in two different modes. Players can choose between the revamped scenario in "Original" mode, which retells the story from the 2012 release with enhanced visuals and updated presentation for modern game systems, and "Slayhem" mode which features a new scenario based on Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, but completely different storyline. Both options are available from the start of the game.

About Danganronpa
