Capcom has released a new trailer for Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC; set to release on October 9th, 2026.
The trailer showcases new story elements, enemies, and gives a look at Norgan ahead of the game's launch.

With the arrival of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen just around the corner, a new trailer featuring the story and enemies in the new area Norgan was revealed and eager Arisen can get an early look at the new character customization options coming with the expansion using the updated Dragon’s Dogma™ 2: Character Creation & Storage tool on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and now available on Nintendo Switch 2.
(Note: The new customization options will not be available to use in the Dragon’s Dogma 2 main game until the launch of the Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expansion. However, we encourage you to get your characters ready for the upcoming release of Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.)

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen releases for Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on October 9, 2026 for MSRP $49.99. The Dark Arisen Expansion will also be available separately as DLC for the base game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for MSRP $29.99. The Norgan Fashion Set - Northern Attire will be available as a pre-order bonus, which can be accessed via in-game storage at launch.

Preparing for an Expedition
The Relic Expedition Gameplay Walkthrough transports the Arisen to the Norgandian Settlement, the lone bastion of peace left in a region that was once prosperous and richly populated. Now, all that remains of that civilization are timeworn relics of an ancient war guarded by monsters or hidden within the frost covered wastes. In order to survive their treks outside the settlement, Arisen must make careful preparations: ensuring ample provisions for their expedition, enhancing their gear, and resting without fear of enemy incursions.
Seeking Spoils
The inhabitants of Norgan outside the settlement walls all pose a dire risk to explorers. The Beorcan warriors attack all who approach their smoldering firepits, while the Norgan Giant can entomb adversaries in ice with a single breath. These foes often hold powerful relics, while other fearsome adversaries such as the ice dragon Fimbl possess relics of even more profound potential. Confrontation is not the only path to power, as sharp-eyed Arisen will often have their curiosity rewarded when investigating the abandoned settlements and caves of the region. The Norgandian Settlement’s resident direwolf Freki can also help guide Arisen to spoils for a price.
Appraising Relics
Relics gathered by the Arisen will only have their true potential unlocked after being appraised by the matron of the Norgandian Settlement, Jiera. While certain relics may appear similar at first, their final form may differ wildly. Weapons and armor received through appraisal will not only offer increased stats based upon the rarity of the original relic, but can also bestow new abilities or refine skills already possessed by the Arisen and their Pawn.
