Developer Play by Play Studios, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have announced NBA THE RUN's Wave One - 2000s Legends update will release on September 29th, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The update will add iconic Hall of Famers Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett and Dirk Nowitzki – each available for 5,000 CRED (currency earned through in-game progression), or unlocked all together instantly as a bundle for $9.99, along with a host of other new content available for free for all players.

The “Wave One – 2000s Legends” update will add:
Five Iconic 2000s Legends With Stylized Looks & Signature Moves: Cross up your opponents with Allen Iverson, throw down vicious dunks with Vince Carter, score from anywhere with Tracy McGrady, lockdown any player as Kevin Garnett and rain threes with Dirk Nowitzki.
