Team Riyo has officially confirmed their RPG Threads of Time will be launching in the Summer of 2027 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The announcement was first revealed during the Nintendo Indie World Showcase earlier today, but Team Riyo had the following message to share as well.
Hey Time Threaders!
Big news to share! As revealed during today's Nintendo showcase, Threads of Time officially has a release window of Summer 2027! We also announced that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2!
Announcing Threads of Time for Nintendo is one of those moments where we have to pinch ourselves. We grew up with Nintendo being such a huge part of our lives, and so many of the games we cherish that inspired Threads were on Nintendo platforms. To see our own game coming to Nintendo is pretty surreal.
In fact, last year for the holidays, we gave everyone at the studio their own faux Threads of Time SNES cartridge! It was a fun way to turn back the clocks (pun intended) and imagine what our little game might have looked like during that defining generation of games.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. It means the world to our team.
Threads of Time is coming Summer 2027 to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam (PC)! If you haven't already, you can wishlist the game on Steam.
For now, it's back to work making Threads the best game we possibly can. We can't wait to share more with you!
