The Backrooms 1998 Is Out Today on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC

Steelkrill Studio has announced their first-person found footage psychological horror survival game The Backrooms 1998 is officially out of early access, and available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

Previously the game released as a part of Steam Early Access, and saw players navigating a labyrinth of "backrooms" as they attempt to escape the horrors waiting in the dark. The game uses a unique system where it uses the player's microphone to track their voices and even their breathing.

Here's the new trailer, and official overview as provided to us by Steelkrill Studio.

Overview:

In "The Backrooms 1998," players navigate the eerie labyrinth of the Backrooms, aiming to escape while avoiding lurking dangers.
