Tabematsu Studio and PQube have announced Grow The Seed, a brand new survival deck-building strategy game for PC.

The game is set to launch in Early Access in May of 2025, with a free playable demo available at this moment.

We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with Tabematsu Studio on Grow the Seed,” says Tyrone Walcott, Product Group Manager at PQube. “This game plants fresh ideas into the deck-building genre, allowing players to cultivate their strategies and see them flourish. With its rich mechanics and organic progression, we’re confident that Grow the Seed’s upcoming Early Access launch will take root with players and leave them eager to see how their efforts blossom.”

Grow The Seed is said to be a unique take on the deck-building roguelite genre, and combines deck-building, resource management, and light tower-defense elements.

Players will need to cultivate a seed into a thriving tree by selecting and upgrading cards, managing sunlight, water, and nutrients, and defending it from threats such as worms, moles, and more. Every season will present a different challenge, with intense boss battles against foes such as giant crows, or even a goat.

Features:

Strategic Deck-Building – Carefully select and upgrade cards to develop your tree’s structure and manage essential resources like water, sunlight, and nutrients.

Seasonal Challenges – Adapt to the four seasons, each impacting gameplay—winter limits growth, summer demands water conservation, and spring and autumn bring both opportunities and new threats.

Defend Against Nature’s Threats – Face underground and overground enemies, from moles to crows, and battle powerful seasonal bosses like a giant goat.

Upgrade & Expand – Strengthen your strategy with improved tools, a traveling merchant, and a dynamic in-game economy built around growing and harvesting food.

Relaxing Yet Strategic Gameplay – A hand-drawn art style and engaging mechanics make Grow the Seed both immersive and rewarding.
