Publisher and Developer Rocket Panda Games has officially launched Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The game is an enhanced remake of the original Xbox 360 title with enhanced graphics, improved frame rate, and new content.
“Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate is finally back and kicking. We’re reigniting the classic beat’em up in six different platforms at once, with cross-play so anyone can enjoy regardless of the platform of their choice,” said M.Panda, Rocket Panda Games’ CEO. “It’s been a delightful challenge to create this enhanced version of the game that looks fantastic and offers hundreds of hours. Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate (PBBGU) is a fully reworked version of the original title launched a decade ago. The new version includes revamped and smoother gameplay thanks to a full rebuild of the game in Unreal Engine 5, local and online co-op, and Versus Modes for up to 8 players worldwide, including cross-platform support.

The Phantom Breaker series started out as a 2D fighting game in 2011, developed by 5pb / MAGES, and the beat'em up spin-off, “Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds” was published in 2013 by 5pb / MAGES. In March 2022, Rocket Panda Games released Phantom Breaker: Omnia, featuring 2 guest characters, Kurisu Makise from Steins;Gate and Rimi Sakihata from Chaos;Head, as well as two brand new characters created specifically for “Phantom Breaker: Omnia.” In June 2022 Rocket Panda Games acquired the Phantom Breaker IP and is committed to maximising the series’ potential for fans around the world.
