So you started your adventure in Cattle Country but you quickly realize walking takes forever. You need a horse! But the question is, how do you get one?
Well it is actually quite simple, but it does take a bit of work to achieve.
Step 1: Reach Level 9 in Farming
The horse in Cattle Country is locked behind the Stable Upgrade which can only be obtained after reaching Level 9 in farming. This means you need to plant crops, water them, till the soil, and do anything else farming related you can to upgrade your level. Your level will increase while you sleep, and all levels cannot be obtained within one day. Due to energy limits this is going to take some time, so get ready to make the most out of your farm each day for awhile.
Step 2: Gather the resources
As with any upgrade in Cattle Country, resources and Gold are both required to build a Stable. In this case you need 250 Wood, 100 Stones, 20 Clay Bricks, and 10,000 Gold.
Wood and Stones can easily be gathered from the open world, but Clay Bricks require the use of a furnace to turn 5 pieces of clay into a single brick; a piece of coal is required as well. While shooting for Farming Level 9 should give you plenty of time to gather these resources, it ultimately wouldn't take too many in game days to gather what you need. Everything can be gathered from the mine, so a couple of trips there should be all it takes.
Step 3: Placing the Stable
After purchasing the Stable from Maggie the carpenter, you can choose a location for it to be built. This will take a little bit of in game time to be constructed, but once it is finished you will have your very own horse. Now you can travel the vast frontier in no time!
