Keen Games has announced that after eight major content updates, Enshrouded will launch its full 1.0 version for PlayStation 5 and PC on October 15th, 2026; Xbox Series X|S version is still in development, and planned for release in Spring of 2027.
When discussing the announcement, Jan Jöckel, CEO of Keen Games had this to say:
"Our team worked tirelessly to bring 1.0 and its exciting new content to both the PS5 and Xbox X|S editions, with the goal of launching everywhere at once. Our game pushes a lot of complex systems at once like deep terraforming and building at a scale we're really proud of. Bringing all of that to two console platforms simultaneously proved more demanding than we anticipated. Rather than rush, we made the call to focus and get each version right. We refuse to compromise on the quality of the game, and we know Xbox players expect the best. Work on the Xbox X|S edition is ongoing, and we plan to launch it in spring 2027. Players can look forward to more details about 1.0 this summer."
