Netto's Gaming Secrets: Zelda Majora's Mask - Romani's last day on Earth

As most of you may know, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is a pretty dark game. It's freaky, the moon is crashing down, and the game is just flat out filled with dark themes. Well even so, there's one small scene a lot of people may have missed or just flat ot not understood near the end of the 3rd day.

If you go to the ranch you'll find the little girl Romani and her big sister walking back to the house. According to Romani tonight is the night that she can finally drink a special type of "milk" that only adults can drink when they enter adult hood. Now although it isn't said in game what this milk is, it is pretty easy to figure out. It's what you can drink when you become an adult, and it's sold at the Bar which is opened at night with a sign that says no kids allowed. Need I say more?

Well anyway, during the last few hours before the moon crashes down Romani tells you that she is finally going to drink it for herself, and that her sister asked her to sleep with her in her bed tonight. She then goes on to tell say "SEE YOU TOMORROW!" (or at least something along them lines) while her older sister is hesitant to say it as well.

Basically she KNOWS everyone is about to die, and she doesn't want her little sister to know. To help her little sister die in peace, she decided to allow her sister to drink herself out of sanity so she doesn't know what is going on. If you don't reset time and save the day, she will then die in her big sister's arms to drunk to know what hit her.

Really, the whole scene is pretty dark, even compared to the rest of the game. It's one of them scenes its easy to overlook (I mean, who really walks around the ranch as the world is ending in that game?), but it's worth checking out if you already haven't! It's a dark hidden secret of Majora's Mask, and one that most kids most likely didn't understand at the time.
