Playtonic Games unveils Project Ukulele as... Yooka-Laylee
Developer Playtonic Games, consisting of staff known for their work on the Donkey Kong Country and Banjo-Kazooie games, have finally shown us a bit of what they have planned for their spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie, Project Ukulele.
... and it's a bit shameless, to be blunt. When Playtonic first started talking about their new game, they had initially said that it was not to be a replacement for or remake of Banjo, that was sort of undermined when they first began teasing the game and it's been clearly dropped completely as of now.
Regardless, Yooka-Laylee looks like it has a lot of promise, and with some of the original Banjo developers behind this I doubt it wouldn't come out great. Playtonic games will be creating a kickstarter for Yooka-Laylee tomorrow, and you can find the official page for the game over here.
